Lavaca Sweater

Finally finished my Lavaca sweater. Not a fast knit as it is in a fingering weight silk yarn, but I LOVE it! This one is going to be a favorite that gets LOTS of wear. Perfect for a hot climate like we have where I live.

Found this pattern while searching Ravelry for patterns using Purl SoHo’s Cattail Silk as I had 2 skeins in stash that I had picked up on sale. This sweater was just what I had in mind, and I love it. It is a raglan style sweater knitted in the round top down. Knitted up with this yarn, it gives off vibes of sweaters from higher end quality brands such as Eileen Fisher. This pattern is a keeper and I will definitely invest in some more of the Cattail Silk when I see another sale roll around!

Followed the instructions in the pattern other than knitting it longer than the specified length. She does give the tip that I followed. Knitting the sleeves before finished the body allows you to knit for a longer length without playing the yarn chicken game. I actually still had some of my second skein left after all was wrapped up.
